How to decide who can do what in TailorSync
Two pages decide who can do what in TailorSync: Users lists your team with each person's role and branch, and Roles sets what each role can do. This episode takes the finance pages away from counter staff, sets a discount limit above which a manager approves at the till, and locks the account of someone who has left without losing anything they recorded.
Watch on YouTubeWhat the video covers
- 1Users and roles. Users lists your team. Each person has a role, and the Branch column shows where they work. There are three roles: Tenant admin has full access, a Manager runs the shop day to day, and a User works the counter.
- 2Change what a role can do. On Roles, click Permissions on a role. Everything is grouped by area, in plain words. Counter staff do not need your finances, so on User, untick View finance module and save.
- 3Discount limits. In Settings, under Staff controls, choose Ask a manager at the till and set how much discount staff can give without asking, ten percent in the video. Over that, a manager approves it on the cashier's screen with their PIN.
- 4When someone leaves. Keep their account but lock it. On Users, click Edit, open Status and pick Inactive.
- 5What happens. When you save, they are signed out everywhere and cannot sign in again, and everything they recorded stays.
