For the UAE & GCC apparel trade

From fabric to fitting, one system for the tailoring trade

TailorSync runs the counter, the workshop and the books for the UAE and GCC apparel trade: tailors, abaya and kandura ateliers, fabric and textile suppliers, wholesalers and fashion brands alike. Point of sale, FTA-compliant VAT invoicing in AED, and multi-branch control, all in one system built for how the region sells.

Why we built this

Thirty years of tailoring went into this software

TailorSync is built by the family behind a UAE tailoring company: thirty years spent at the counter and in the workshop, taking measurements, promising Eid deliveries and keeping the books.

We ran the generic retail POS and ERP systems for years, and none of them understood the trade. They were written by software companies that had never taken a measurement or held a fabric up to the light: no advance taken on a custom order, no measurement profile to pull up years later, no delivery date to promise, no alteration queue, and no way to run walk-in retail and bespoke production on the same set of books.

So we built the system we always wanted. Every workflow in TailorSync comes from decades of running a real tailoring shop: the advance at booking and the balance at collection, the reusable measurement profile, the trial fitting that sends a kandura back for one more adjustment, the delivery date, the fabric that mustn’t vanish mid-season, the FTA-compliant VAT invoice in AED. We put each of those in because we had spent years working without them.

See it in action

Watch the shop run, screen by screen

Live mockups of the real flows: the counter on a tablet, an order taken in Deira and stitched in Sharjah, the multilingual assistant, and a customer picking up their invoice on WhatsApp.

Scene 01 · Hero replacement

The shop, breathing.

A sale goes through at the counter and the owner’s dashboard updates by itself. This is a tailoring shop’s day read off the numbers: everything in AED, kept current without anyone pressing refresh.

The owner’s first look of the morning: revenue, orders and stock on one screen.

Scene 02 · Point of Sale · Deira Shop

A register that speaks tailoring.

The till a Dubai tailoring shop actually needs. Take a deposit on a kandura order, pull up a customer’s saved measurements without leaving the sale, and print a 5% VAT receipt that meets FTA rules. Receipt numbers run in order with no gaps, kept separate for each branch and each year.

  • Customise a garment from its tile. Pick the fabric, load a saved measurement set, and add the special instructions.
  • Take the deposit now, the balance at collection. The sale turns into a production order with a delivery date on it.
  • Open and close the drawer to the fils. Count the cash float in the morning, and at night the app tells you whether the drawer balances.
8:59 in the morning. Count the float and open the till.

Scene 03 · Multi-branch

Taken in Deira. Stitched in Sharjah. One book.

One shop with more than one branch, kept on a single book. The counter takes the order, the workshop’s phone picks it up a moment later, and the owner can read one branch on its own or the whole business at once.

The Deira book: money owed, due dates, and one suit that is already late.
Eid week. A new hand at the till, stuck for a second.

Scene 04 · AI Assistant · Help Center

Stuck? Ask in your own language.

On a Dubai shop floor the owner might work in Arabic while the staff speak Hindi, Urdu, Bengali or Malayalam. TailorSync answers in any of them. Type or talk, and the reply comes back in your own language with the steps to follow and a link to the help article it drew from. Arabic reads right to left, the way it should.

  • Built for busy hands. A tailor in the middle of a fitting can ask a ten-second question out loud instead of stopping to type.
  • Answers come from the Help Center. Each one links to the article it used, so it does not describe features the app doesn’t have.
  • New staff help themselves. During Ramadan and Eid, seasonal hires ask the assistant instead of stopping the owner every few minutes.

Scene 05 · Order handover · WhatsApp

The customer picks it up on WhatsApp.

When a kandura is ready, send the order to the customer’s WhatsApp. They open a private link, confirm it is them with their phone number, and download the tax invoice themselves. Nothing to install, and nothing printed unless they ask for it.

Ahmed’s kandura is ready. His balance is settled.

Scene 06 · Finance & VAT

Your books, worked out live.

Finance reads straight from your real records. See what you are owed and what you owe, watch VAT collected minus VAT paid land on the exact figure an FTA return needs, and when a customer returns an abaya, the credit note appears on its own.

  • Pick a VAT quarter and every figure on every tab re-scopes to it.
  • Net VAT payable is output tax minus input tax, the number that goes on the return.
  • Returns raise a credit note for you, numbered for good and tied to the original invoice under FTA rules.
The owner opens Finance: what’s owed, what’s owing, cash in and out.

Scene 07 · One app, every screen

The same shop, on every screen.

TailorSync runs in the browser and installs like an app. The owner reads the books on a laptop, the counter sells on a tablet, the tailor checks the queue on a phone. One login, and the numbers stay the same on all of them.

Questions shop owners ask

Who builds TailorSync?

TailorSync is built by the family behind a UAE tailoring company with thirty years at the counter and in the workshop. We built it because the generic retail POS and ERP systems never understood how a tailoring business actually works: deposits on custom orders, measurement profiles you can reuse years later, delivery-date promises, alteration queues and fabric that vanishes mid-season. Every workflow in it came out of running a real shop for decades.

Is TailorSync made for abaya and kandura shops?

Yes. It is built for abaya boutiques, kandura tailors and bespoke tailoring houses, with saved measurements, deposits on custom orders, delivery-date tracking and per-branch operations.

Can it handle both retail sales and custom orders?

The POS handles walk-in and account sales, and the orders module tracks bespoke work and alterations through to delivery. A customer can have both in the same record.

Are the invoices VAT-compliant for the UAE?

Invoices are FTA-compliant with sequential, gap-free numbering, and support tax-inclusive or tax-exclusive pricing. Tax reports are built in, with AED as the default currency.

Do I need to install anything?

No. TailorSync runs in any browser on the counter PC, a laptop or a tablet, and a second branch sees the same information.

Can fabric suppliers and wholesalers use TailorSync, or is it only for tailors?

TailorSync isn't tailoring-only. Fabric and textile suppliers stock rolls by the metre, trims shops sell buttons and thread by the piece, and wholesalers set credit limits and payment terms per account, all on the same inventory, purchasing and invoicing that bespoke tailors use. If you buy, stock or sell in the UAE and GCC apparel trade, the platform is built for you.

Does it issue FTA-compliant credit notes for returns and cancellations?

Yes. Refund a POS sale, cancel a paid invoice, or reverse a paid order, and TailorSync raises a tax credit note automatically, linked to the original invoice and compliant with FTA Articles 60 and 62. There is nothing to fill in by hand, and the VAT adjustment flows straight into your VAT report.

Can my staff use TailorSync in Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali or Malayalam?

The in-app AI assistant answers questions in English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali or Malayalam, typed or spoken, with Arabic as its preferred second language. Ask it how to do something on the register or in Orders and it replies in the language you used, then links you to the exact help article.

Can customers track their order and download their own invoice on WhatsApp?

Yes. Send a customer a link on your own WhatsApp instead of printing or emailing a PDF. They confirm their phone number, see every order they have with you, and download the invoice themselves. The link belongs to the customer rather than a single order, so it keeps working the next time they buy from you.
