How to read your month-end reports in TailorSync: cash flow, profit and trends
TailorSync's month-end figures are in two places: Finance shows the cash flow and the profit for the period you pick, and Analytics shows the revenue trend and who spends the most. This episode reads the current month's cash flow and profit summary, then switches Analytics to the last thirty days.
Watch on YouTubeWhat the video covers
- 1Cash flow. In Finance, click Cash. Cash in minus cash out is what the month left you, with the money in and the money out beside it.
- 2Where it came from and went. The Cash flow statement below splits it: money in from sales, orders and the till, and money out on purchases and expenses.
- 3Pick the period. The period starts on Current Month. Open the date filter to pick another, like Last Month or a VAT quarter.
- 4Profit. Click Profit. Net profit is what is left after the cost of what you sold and your running costs, with the margin under it.
- 5The profit summary. The Profit summary lists each line from revenue down to net profit. The figures leave VAT out, because VAT is not yours to keep.
- 6Trends in Analytics. Open Analytics. Revenue Trends shows this month so far, with a bar for each week. Click Monthly and the figures count the last thirty days instead of the last seven, with revenue, orders, stock and expenses below and Top Clients showing who spends the most.

Before you start
At month-end, see how the month went. In this video you'll read the cash flow and the profit in Finance, then the trends in Analytics.
Cash flow
In Finance, click Cash. Cash in minus cash out is what the month left you, with the money in and the money out beside it. The Cash flow statement below splits it: money in from sales, orders and the till, and money out on purchases and expenses. The period is this month. Open the date filter to pick another, like Last Month or a VAT quarter. Here, keep Current Month.
Profit
Click Profit. Net profit is what's left after the cost of what you sold and your running costs, with the margin under it. The Profit summary lists each line, from revenue down to net profit. The figures leave VAT out, because VAT isn't yours to keep.
Trends in Analytics
For trends, open Analytics. The Revenue Trends chart shows this month so far, with a bar for each week. Click Monthly, and the figures count the last thirty days instead of the last seven. Below are revenue, orders, stock and expenses, and Top Clients shows who spends the most. Next, your VAT return.
