How to handle refunds, exchanges and customer credit in TailorSync
When a customer comes back to the TailorSync counter, you can refund an item in cash or as customer credit, exchange it for something else, let them spend their credit, give goodwill credit, or cancel an order they no longer need, and each one is recorded with its own credit note. This episode does each of them in turn for a regular customer.

- 1Find the receipt. Open Quick Access, then Receipts, and type the receipt number.
- 2Refund to credit. Click Refund, set the quantity coming back and type why. To keep the money in the shop, choose Customer credit and click Refund. The refund slip shows the item's share of any order discount, so the total adds up, and the refund gets its own credit note.
- 3An exchange. Click Exchange on the receipt, set what is coming back, say why and click Start exchange. The till shows the value brought back. Tap the new item; if it costs less, the difference goes back to the customer. Click Charge, choose how to give it back, and click Complete exchange.
- 4Spend the credit. Search for the customer and their chip shows the credit they have. At Charge, choose Customer credit and complete the sale.
- 5Goodwill credit. Open the customer's page, then the Credit tab, and click Give credit. Type the amount and the reason. The history lists every refund, credit and spend.
- 6Manager approval. When a cashier gives a refund or credit, a manager approves it with their PIN. Managers set their PIN in Settings, under Security.
- 7Cancel an order. At the counter, open Track Orders, find the order and click Cancel order. Choose what happens to the deposit, for example All to credit, say why and confirm. The order is cancelled with a credit note.
