How to set up your shop in TailorSync: details, logo, VAT and receipt printer
Setting up your shop in TailorSync means filling in four things once: your business details and logo, your tax registration, your TRN under Tax & Compliance, and your receipt printer. All four print on every receipt, invoice and order form, so do them before your first sale. This episode covers them in under four minutes, including what to choose if you are not VAT registered.
Watch on YouTubeWhat the video covers
- 1Business details and logo. In Settings, open Business. Enter your company name, upload your logo (JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 5 MB), and add your address, phone and email. They print at the top of every receipt and invoice.
- 2Tax registration. Under Financial Settings, check your country, then set your Tax Registration Status: Tax Registered if you hold a TRN, Not Registered if you are below the VAT threshold, or Tax Exempt. In the UAE the rate is 5%.
- 3Tax and Compliance. Open Tax & Compliance, enter your legal business name and registered address as they appear on your trade licence, turn on VAT Registered, and type your 15-digit TRN. A checklist at the top shows anything still missing.
- 4Receipt printer. In Print Settings, pick your paper width (80 mm for most counter printers, 58 mm for small portable ones) and run a test print. If the text comes out faint or cut off, adjust the print size and thickness.
